ARTISTS FOR HUMANITY (AFH)

Art for Humanity also known as ‘the art of human rights’ is a non-profit organization based in Durban, South Africa which specializes in producing fine art print portfolios, exhibitions, billboards and research projects that advocate various human rights issues in South Africa and internationally. 

Originated by Fine Art lecturer and print maker, Jan Jordaan, at the Durban University of Technology (DUT), the programme as well as the Art for Humanity website, serve as resources for those interested in human rights, art and social development. The programme defines art as that which is created to inspire all of humanity with freedom of expression, the quest for excellence, pride, dignity, and respect for individual rights, reflection and heritage.
